Dad St. Lebim was born in about 1805, probably in County Mayo, Ireland. And in about 1825, he was married to an unknown spouse. Of note, the place of origin for this family is proven by the 1903 Davenport Times obituary for daughter Mary.
The task is to prove whether the St. Lebim Family migrated to America or whether their only known child, Mary, was a sole survivor of the Great Famine. If daughter Mary immigrated in the company of her family, their immigration date would have been 1/1850.
To date, only records for Mary are found in Otisville, Orange Co NY, beginning in 1850. Otisville's location in southern New York leads to the belief that Mary's and the St. Lebim's immigration port was New York City.
The date and place of death for Mary's parents is unknown.
